Baltic regatta “Ust-Luga Cup 2013” is conceived as the integration instrument of European cities, interested in partnership development and business cooperation at Baltic region. Regatta is unique due to the structure of participants. Teams are formed by occupation characteristics, crews consist of the port employees and adjacent organizations from different regions of Russia and other Baltic countries.
This event opens the direct link to the international cooperation process. Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia - those countries are involved in races in various degree and Baltic Sea is the native element for all of them.
Holding such event at Baltic is important element of Russia integration into world transport system, and also has great strategic value for association of transport business participants in the region of the Baltic Sea.
First time the Baltic regatta Ust-Luga Cup passed in June, 2012 and was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Sea port Ust-Luga. Successful regatta became noticeable event not only in the sailing world, but also among the business public and mass media representatives. Considering a great interest to further project development from side of participants in port business in Russia and abroad, organisers made the decision to hold the Baltic regatta Ust-Luga Cup as an annual event. The project is supported by Transport Ministry of Russian Federation and Russian Sailing Federation.
"Baltic regatta Ust-Luga Cup 2013" isn't simple a regatta, it is traditions and uniqueness package, sea professionals alliance, union of ports and companies, cities and regions conjunction.
